TFD will be hosting Youth Mental Health First-Aid Training for community members. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), designed by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among Youth. It is an all-day training, and participants will receive a certificate that is good for three years. Participants will have some pre-work on their own time before the training on MHFA Connect (website). This normally equals 1 to 2 hours of work. Then we would have the training in person on 9/26. At the end of the training, participants will complete some post-work (survey and exam) on MHFA Connect, and once they receive a passing grade, they will receive their certificate.
