The Firehouse Dream has become a space and place that our neighbors can count on, a consistent, healing-centered space for youth and their families in Maywood, IL and now in Las Vegas, NV. Right now, we’re working to get one full year ahead in funding, so our programs aren’t at risk when grants fall short. This is a BIG goal, but it’s one we believe we can reach collectively.
THE GOAL:
To secure a year of funding, we need to raise: $396,000 through reccuring donations. We are looking for 330 partners to give $100 a month for one year, or a one-time gift of $1,200. Or any dollar amount is just as impactful.
With consistent funding, we can:
Provide ongoing art therapy & healing-centered programming at the Firehouse
Distribute 2,000 free mental health kits to youth across Chicagoland and Las Vegas
Offer 1:1 financial counseling and therapy for youth navigating real-life challenges
Continue building creative pathways for youth to become financially resilient and mentally well while pursuing creative careers
Provide pay equity and consistency with our TFD staff and facilitators.
WHY THIS MATTERS NOW:
As funding becomes more limited and unpredictable, programs like ours are often the first to be scaled back, despite the growing need.
Your support helps ensure that doesn’t happen. Together we can build a community-centered model of care, that is truly BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE.
